To minimise the impact of visitors on our children, we organise one Sharing Outstanding Practice visit per month. This provides an opportunity to take a learning walk around Fullbrook Nursery School, across their two provisions for 2-4 year olds, followed by a discussion led by the Head teacher. The learning walk and follow up discussion can focus on the interests of the visitors such as;

  • SEN inclusion
  • Early Years Pupil Premium
  • Early language intervention
  • Adult interactions
  • Child centred learning
  • Quality learning environment
  • Role of the key worker
  • Planning and evidencing learning.

Practitioners are provided with a resource pack which includes a CD of provision photographs taken across the year, SEN inclusion DVD, copy of the routine, assessment and planning examples and home learning ideas. Resource packs can be tailored to suite the visitors, the Leadership pack contains, learning walk capture sheets, adult involvement scales, monitoring format and parent engagement strategy. Further resources around EAL and Physical Literacy are also available.

There is a nominal charge for a visit, £25 per setting and this includes the practitioner/leader resource pack and Head teacher time. Please contact the school office to book a place.
